Bill Fields began his career in public health in the last century after having earned his MBA at Georgia State University.  He started work in the office of the State Health Director – Georgia Department of Public Health - in Atlanta.  At various times in his career, he served as Assistant Director for Public Health, Director of the State Office of Rural Health and Primary Care, Director of the State Office of Emergency Medical Services, Program Manager for the Gainesville Health District, and Director of Administration for the DeKalb County Board of Health.  In addition to experience in planning, designing and implementing healthcare programs, he has extensive experience in planning for disasters and in responding to disasters.

Bill is also active in the Georgia Public Health Association, having served two terms as President of that organization.
