Childbirth Educator

Childbirth Educators (CBE) give expectant parents the skills to prepare for pregnancy, labor, birth, and parenthood, teach about the physiology of birth, and relaxation techniques, and to explain postpartum care.

Breastfeeding Specialist

Certified Breastfeeding Specialists (CBS) educate and support families through pregnancy, breastfeeding initiation, and the normal course of lactation.

Maternal Mental Health Specialists provide support to moms and birthers that are experiencing difficulties maintaining their mental health during pregnancy and postpartum.

We will connect moms and birthers to a doula at no cost. We hope to support the low-income pregnant population living in communities experiencing the highest incidents of preterm birth and maternal mortality in Georgia.

Black Birthing Initiative

Our mission is to provide unwavering support to Black birthing individuals in Metro Atlanta & surrounding counties throughout their pregnancies. We offer free doula services, childbirth education, and a wealth of comprehensive resources.

Gwinnett MIS: Birth Support Project

We aim to assist families residing in Gwinnett County by providing free doula services, childbirth education, and comprehensive resources.

Building Perinatal Support Professionals

Through our Building Perinatal Support Professionals program, we will carefully match you with a professional based on your location and preferred level of engagement. It's important to note that HMHBGA doesn't directly offer perinatal support services but ensures appropriate referrals to professionals who have completed our program. Upon accepting the referral, you will establish a direct relationship with your chosen professional, and HMHBGA will be released from any liability associated with this relationship.
