Maya Eady McCarthy
Dr. Maya Eady McCarthy is a board-certified pediatric hospitalist and academic physician based in Atlanta, with sixteen years of experience caring for hospitalized children. Her work sits at the intersection of bedside medicine, medical education, community health, and the social conditions that shape outcomes for mothers and children long before they arrive at a hospital.
She founded a maternal and child health media and advocacy platform with national reach. She holds a Master's degree in Medical Education, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and serves as the President of the Southern Crescent Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
She joins the Board eager to bring a frontline clinical perspective to Georgia's maternal and infant health work.
