2020 Conference: Maternal & Infant Health in the Digital World

Maternal & Infant Health in the Digital World: Patient-Centered Care During COVID and Beyond is the 46th Annual Meeting and Conference for Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Georgia (HMHBGA). For the past 45 years, HMHBGA has hosted the largest professional conference for maternal and infant health professionals with a typical attendance of 250 attendees at this multi-day networking and educational event. This marks the first year that HMHBGA is holding a national conference focused on a broad topic that impacts multiple professional communities – namely those working in maternal and infant health care and those working to develop related technologies.

Carolyn Wetzel Continuum Award

The Carolyn Wetzel Continuum Award recognizes a volunteer or health professional who contributes to the health and well being of Georgia’s families by being a positive change agent in the public arena of advocacy and policy. HMHBGA is pleased to name Rose L. Horton, a leader in women and infant healthcare, as this year’s Carolyn Wetzel Continuum Award winner. As a passionate advocate for safe and equitable care for all women, Rose served as the President of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) and remains committed to decreasing maternal morbidity and mortality.
