Hyperemesis Gravidarum: An Integrative Approach for Birth Professionals

  • Piedmont Henry Hospital 1133 Eagles Landing Parkway Stockbridge, GA 30281 United States (map)

This 30-minute presentation equips physicians, nurses, doulas, and other perinatal professionals with essential knowledge about Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG)—a severe, potentially life-threatening form of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy. Participants will learn to differentiate HG from typical morning sickness, identify red flags, explore both conventional and integrative treatment options, and offer effective, compassionate care. The session emphasizes emotional validation, practical support strategies, and advocacy tools to help ensure that individuals with HG feel seen, heard, and supported throughout their pregnancy.
